An Occupational Driver’s License (ODL), also known as an essential needs or restricted license, allows you to drive for essential purposes such as work, school, and household needs, including commuting, job-related travel, taking children to school, and running necessary errands like grocery shopping or doctor visits. While ODLs come with restrictions on times, places, and purposes for driving, we work with the issuing court to minimize these limitations. In most cases, we can secure an ODL for you without requiring a court appearance. You may need to obtain an SR-22 insurance policy and maintain a driving log. Once your ODL is approved, our team will ensure you fully understand how to comply with its requirements, so you can drive legally and with confidence.
